Harris Trailer Rental LLC is a locally owned and operated family business committed to exceptional customer service. James Harris, the owner and operator takes pride in helping his clients get exactly what they need to safely and securely haul their load. We are located in Ham Lake, MN serving the metro area of Minneapolis and surrounding areas. We offer trailers for rent that are fully equipped for your transportation needs which includes winches, straps, spare tires, and more! Hitches and brake controllers are available to rent for an additional fee if you do not have one. Whether you need to pick up your next project or get your collector to the show, we can help!

What type of trailers do you rent out?
We provide a variety of trailers, including utility, equipment, car haulers. We are constantly expanding our selection to meet your needs.
How can I find your location?
Our exact location is disclosed after booking to ensure privacy and security. We are based in Ham Lake off of Constance blvd and Hwy 65, for pick-ups.
What if I damage the trailer?
Upon pick-up, you’ll sign a contract accepting responsibility for the trailer and all included equipment. Damage costs will be deducted from your deposit, with any excess potentially covered by your insurance or out-of-pocket payments.
Do I need a special license to rent a trailer?
No special license is needed for our trailers, but you must ensure your vehicle is equipped for towing the type and weight of the trailer rented.

Payments
We accept most forms of payments.

Tax
Tax rate of 8.13% will be assessed to all Rental Orders.
Card Processing
A Processing Fee of 3.9% + 30¢ will be assessed to all Rental Orders using MTR/Stripe as payment.
A Card Processing Fee of 4.5% will be assessed to all Rental Orders using non-Stripe processers for payment.
Security Deposit
Damage deposit- All trailer rentals require a $150 refundable security/damage deposit. The deposit is fully refundable if there is no damage or missing equipment from the trailer upon returning the trailer. The rental fee plus the deposit are taken up front.
Reservation Deposit- We require a one day rental rate for the deposit at the time of reservation. This constitutes a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. If you make a reservation for a trailer and decide to cancel you will not receive a refund. The reservation deposit is transferable. You may change the dates of your event pending availability. The trailer must be rescheduled at time of cancellation.
